List of Current Community Grant Recipients

Each year our Affiliate provides thousands of dollars in grant funding to support preventative care, educational outreach, and financial assistance to women and their families throughout the Twin Tiers Region. With your help, we have provided a total of $151,500 to the following grantees for April 1, 2013 - March 31, 2014:

1. Adagio Health Inc. for “Reducing Screening Barriers for Women of Potter County PA” - $27,845

2. Maternal & Family Health Services Inc. for “Breast Health Initiative/Screening and Education in Bradford and Tioga Counties, PA” - $25,000

3. YWCA of Binghamton/Broome County for “ENCOREplus Breast Cancer Outreach, Education& Advocacy, Broome and Tioga Counties, NY” -$21,500

4. Arnot Ogden MedicalCenter FalckCancer Center for “Reducing Financial Barriers to Treatment, Twin Tiers Region” - $20,000

5. Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital for “Tioga County PA Mammography Screening Outreach to the Un/Under Insured” - $17,245

6. Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes for “Post-Treatment Survivorship InitiativeTompkins County”- $13,000

7. YWCA Elmira & Twin Tiers for “YWCA Patient Relief Fund, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben Counties” - $10,410

8. Fund for Women for “Barriers to Care Funding for Women Facing Breast Cancer in Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben Counties”- $10,000

9. S2AY Rural Health Network Inc. for “Breast Cancer Support for Schuyler and Steuben Counties” - $6,500

These projects have been selected by our independent Grant Review Panel as those that will have the greatest impact in serving uninsured or underinsured women in our service area. Please note that Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is not a direct service provider.
